Receiving people into the Church

One of the greatest joys about catechesis is the journey of receiving people into the Church. It is an amazing privilege to meet a person when they first approach the Church wanting to find out more about becoming a Catholic, and then beginning that journey with them towards the sacraments of initiation and beyond…

Over the next few posts, I want to explore how we receive people into the Church – what might be their impressions as they begin their journey, and how can we best serve them in the process of initiation?

About transformedinchrist

I live in Southsea and work for the Diocese of Portsmouth. My first love is for catechesis and evangelisation: until January 2013, I worked for a busy, thriving parish in south London coordinating the catechesis - sacramental programmes and adult formation. In November 2013, I completed my MA in catechetics at Maryvale Institute, Birmingham. View all posts by transformedinchrist
