Evangelium 2012

A little aside from my Stateside adventure… Have a quick peek at this:

The Evangelium Conference takes place from Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th August at the Oratory School in Reading, and there are still places left the last I heard. See here for more details.

This is a conference for young adults, to help them defend and explain the Catholic Faith to others. I have never been before, but I met some young adults in Dublin a month ago who raved about how much they enjoyed it, and this year’s line-up looks fantastic. The apostolic nuncio will be there for the first time. Why not come along for the weekend?

I will be giving a workshop on catechesis – How to be a brilliant catechist – (I am certain there will be far more experienced catechists present than me, but I will share a few ideas…) At the moment I am at Steubenville, pondering what to include in this workshop (no better place – LOTS of inspiration here🙂 ) It would be great to see you there.

About transformedinchrist

I live in Southsea and work for the Diocese of Portsmouth. My first love is for catechesis and evangelisation: until January 2013, I worked for a busy, thriving parish in south London coordinating the catechesis - sacramental programmes and adult formation. In November 2013, I completed my MA in catechetics at Maryvale Institute, Birmingham. View all posts by transformedinchrist

“……devastatingly effective missionaries for Christ…” This sounds like a wonderful conference and no doubt which no doubt, will train young adults to evangelize in a world that isn’t so welcoming of Jesus’ Gospel. God bless.
